Hey,

Here's a Question! Once a Doctor chuckled at the X-ray. Do you know why?

Because, it was HUMERUS, a Bone! XD

OK, coming to the point. I'm going to share about something interesting, and thats's Humour.

It is something that makes you laugh and you usually feel happy, cheerful. There are types in it, good Humour, which brings out the positive and a jolly atmosphere and bad Humour, which usually creates a dismal weather.

Humour partly relates to laughter and you should have known that it reduces our stress.

Yes, laughing pumps up feel-good Hormones, the ENDORPHINS. These are chemicals produced naturally by our Nervous System to cope with pain /stress. People who have lower levels of Endorphins can be more likely to suffer from depression. Regular Exercise, Yoga, Meditation, Laughing and eating Dark Chocolate can help in boosting its levels. While Endorphins are not a cure or guarantee for good health, boosting their levels might be an effective way for overall well-being.

Laughing also relieves muscular tension by stimulating circulation.

It improves breathing too! You know how? When you laugh, lungs get rid of stale air allowing more Oxygen to enter. Because, laughter helps Alveoli in Lungs to expand, so that the Oxygen exchange is more.

People usually say "Laughter is the best medicine." Well, it can't treat actual pain but it does have health benefits.

Laughing exchanges the Cortisol, the Stress Hormone, in our blood with the chemicals in-demand like Endorphins. Oxytocin etc..

Endorphins, as referred earlier, help in stress relief, improve immune system and cause feeling of pleasure.

Oxytocin creates a feeling of relatedness. It is considered as the "Bonding Chemical."

There's another Chemical called Dopamine, which enhances motivation, learning and attention.

When you're feeling stressed, the act of laughter can decrease  the Heart rate and relax Muscle tension. Study says, a moment of laughter helps us to think more clearly and creatively.

Now, talking about the forms of Humour, there are many types. While, some of them are,

~Irony. This is when you highlight when something is different from or the opposite of what is expected.
Example could be, The Police Station got robbed last night. Like, we wouldn't expect a Police Station to get robbed right!

~Sarcasm. It usually uses Irony to ridicule.
~Dry Humour. This is when you say something amusing or funny with a very straight face with a serious tone.

~Wit. This is making quick and intelligent remarks and comments, preferably with a straight face.

~Self-deprecation. This is simply making fun of oneself.

~Banter. This is playful teasing that can be quite harsh.

~Puns/ Play on words. It's making funny comments by bending and using the language.

Humour helps us to get rid of boredom. Well, it worked for me!
Like, you can just do Stand-up comedy in your room imagining your imaginary Audience or just telling yourself a joke or anything!

Finally, summarizing the topic...
Being funny is possibly one of the best things you can do for your health. You can think Sense of Humour as you mind's Immune System. It can improve your mental and physical health.
Reframing a negative event with Humour prevents the negativity from triggering depressive episodes. It just doesn't guard against depression, but also improves overall quality of life. It also helps in improving Cardiovascular health.
A point to be noted is that, when exhibiting your Sense of Humour, It's important to attempt for the right kind, as It's a crummy thing to make fun others anyhow!

This is it for now..

Have fun, Be Silly..
Stay Humours, Healthy and Happy!

Oh wait!

Do you Know what kind of Tea is hard to swallow?
